As a Community Housing Development Organization, the guidelines for how CHDC sets our service delivery area is consistent with the guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Texas service area of the Corporation for Texas CHDO purposes (the "Texas Service Area") shall include all counties except Loving County, Hedspeth County and Culberson County, which excepted counties are located in Regions 12, 13 and 13, respectively, of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs Map of Uniform State Service Regions of Texas as in effect in 2018. From time to time, the CHDC legal team may deem it necessary to alter our CHDO Texas Service Area as necessary to conduct business.
Please contact us in regard to utilizing our services outside of the state of Texas.

No. Due to many variables such as limited funds and number of applicants, there is no guarantee that we will perform the needed repairs for any applicant. We accept all applications and verify eligibility. We choose the applicants in order of what we deem as more necessary or important in terms of safety, health and security.
No. CHDC will procure an experienced contractor.
No. Crossroads Housing pays for repairs including but not limited to materials and labor. We do not ask the homeowner for any money. However, as common practice, our Down Payment Assistance program does require a 24 month forgivable lien on the purchased property to deter the new homeowner from "flipping" the property for profit.
